About The Internship
Are you (or someone you know) passionate about making a difference and eager to gain hands-on experience in a cross-cultural setting?
In June 2026, we are offering a unique one month experience in Jinja, Uganda. This one-month internship is more than a trip — it’s an invitation into the warmth, depth, and relational richness of life in Jinja. You’ll participate in ongoing initiatives while learning, listening, and building lasting relationships within the community.
What You'll Be Doing
During your one month stay in Uganda you will...​

Engage in cross-cultural conversations that help you listen well, build healthy relationships, and honor local leadership.

Maintain a weekly schedule of relational and practical engagement.

Share life with families through meals, stories, and visits that move beyond projects into genuine friendship.

Teach lessons and implement practices on health and sanitation.
-
Visit local businesses and learn how entrepreneurship can be a catalyst for Kingdom work around the world.

Engage in intentional conversations and collaborative thinking to improve Dwell’s work (enhance storytelling, increase awareness, grow resources, and multiply impact).

Visit other nonprofit organizations to gain awareness of various initiatives addressing specific needs in Jinja.

Explore how faith, culture, and vocation intersect through guided reflections and group conversations.

Who Should Apply?
This internship is designed for 18-25-year-olds interested in a rich cultural and relational experience in Uganda. It is particularly suitable for students pursuing studies in business, engineering, architecture, ministry, international development, social work, and nonprofit management.
